The Fluvanna volleyball team travels to Kettle Run High School for the first round of the Region II tournament.
The Flucos qualified for the tournament by having the highest finish by a team other than Western Albemarle. WAHS claimed a berth by being the Jefferson District Regular Season Champions. They also won the Jefferson District Tournament.
Kettle Run won the Evergreen District Regular Season and Tournament titles. The Cougars were 19-3 entering the Region II tournament. Their only losses came to Fauquier, Stone Bridge and Loundoun high schools. Loundoun was the only team to beat Western Albemarle.
Fluvanna takes to the court following a loss to Western Albemarle in the Jefferson District Finals. The Flucos have won 19 of their last 22 games. This is the Flucos’ fourth straight appearance in the regional tournament and seventh of the last 10.
The match is set for 7 pm at Kettle Run High School.
