Tenaska to honor teachers with dinner

SCOTTSVILLE — The Tenaska Virginia Generating Station will be honoring all teachers of Tenaska children on Jan. 19 and Jan. 26.

The dinner will be at Ashlawn Grille from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Tenaska Energy will invite the 72 teachers, who can bring 1 adult guest. There will be 3 hired funny comedians for laughter and entertainment.

The food buffet will last from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Laughter promised all night with cones jabs starting at 6:30 p.m.

Everything is paid for by Tenaska except for any alcohol.

“A great time for teachers to get their mind off a tough previous year. There are businesses that appreciate your service to the county,” said Dr. Robert Mayfield of Tenaska.

Invitations to these teachers will be sent out next week.
