Sometimes we all make mistakes

Sometimes I make mistakes. Sadly, when I make a mistake it hurts those who depend on my articles.
I have a mistake in the School Board Budget article. The proposed tax increase is 10 percent and just $.05 overall. That would raise the tax rate to $.55 per $100 assessed.
I sincerely apologize for the mistake. I’m a better journalist than that and I didn’t double check. I used one reference and misinterpreted 10 percent as $.10. Regardless the reason, it shouldn’t have happened.
The meeting Wednesday, March 17 might be moved to Central Auditorium. When we find out for certain, we will let you know. The best way to avoid my mistakes is to attend a meeting in person.
