LAKE MONTICELLO — A firework show isn’t the only Independence Day festivity to return to the Lake Monticello Owners’ Association celebration, the Fourth of July Parade is back on the schedule.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on July 4, the parade will feature antique cars, emergency services vehicles and community members. This year, organizers are inviting children to decorate bicycles and wagons to walk in the parade.
The parade route will go down Ashlawn Boulevard. It begins at the cul-de-sac near the main beach and will go down Ashlawn to the main gate and back towards the clubhouse.
