Maddy Kline and Nate Szarmach also placed at the VHSL Group AA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Liberty University.
Senior Chance Parmly completed his third straight indoor pole vault championship. He won by six inches, finishing at 14 feet, six inches. Parmly finished at 14 feet, six inches as a junior as well. His sophomore year he stopped at 14 feet. Parmly’s freshman year he took third with a 13 foot showing.
Hannah Meador won her second straight indoor pole vault championship. The junior finished at 11 feet, six inches. Last year she won the PV championship while in her freshman year she was second with a 10 feet, six inch final.
Sophomore Maddy Kline finished fourth in the 500-meter dash and sixth in the triple jump.
Nate Szarmach finished sixth in the shot put. The senior finished with a distance of 45 feet, eight inches.
The outdoor track season begins March 20 at Waynesboro.
