Fluco Blog founder heads back to FCHS

I know what you think by the headline. I didn’t go back to Fluvanna County High School to attend class.

I actually was invited by the journalism teacher, Elizabeth Pellicane, to present to a mass media class and two journalism classes. I previously presented to two mass media classes in November.

As always, discussing journalism and the current state of it is always fun to do, especially when I talking to journalism’s next demographic. The reaction and feedback from them is always honest and straight-forward.

I feel confident in how Fluco Blog operates with how they have chosen to consume news around them. They are growing up in an time when individuals have more power to chose what they want to consume than ever before.

No longer are towns limited to a newspaper model with the stronghold of websites and weblogs. The individual can decide if they want print, online, video or a mixture of all.

They realize that.

I hope I helped them as much as they helped me. I discussed what I have done since I walked the hallowed halls of FCHS, Fluco Blog and journalism in general.

I enjoy the time I was allowed to meet and converse with them and I look forward to watching these young journalists start producing work.

And as always, I offered my help to them. If any of them are reading this:

If you ever need help with your article: news@flucoblog.com. Thanks for having me. Sincerely, Bryan
