Palmyra — Three early draftings of school calendars has been obtained by Fluco Blog.
The first option includes students starting Aug. 9 and scheduled ending on May 20 on an early release.
The second option is a start date after Labor Day if an early start application is denied by Virginia Board of Education per code § 22.1-79.1. Students would start Sept. 7 and end June 21. The first semester would end Jan. 31.
The third option utilizes an early start but does not have any early releases. This request came from parents who complained of missing work to provide child care. The start and end dates are the same as the first option.
All three calendars have Winter Break starting after school Dec. 17 and end with classes resuming Jan. 4. Spring Break would be week of April 4-8.
