Cub Scout troop donates supplies, goods to school district

School Board members with Cub Pack 138 on Jan. 9.

PALMYRA — At the Jan. 9 School Board meeting, Cub Pack 138 presented a table’s worth stacked high with school supplies, outdoor games and more.

The donation capped a month long drive the local Cub Scouts hosted to help alleviate stress of school supplies.

For their efforts the School Board gave each scout a Fluvanna County Public Schools lapel pin.

The pack collected many items but a list of items most in need were:

Copy paper
Glue sticks
Pencils and pens
repositionable notes (brands like Sticky Notes or Post-It) – all sizes up to large tablet
Dry erase markers/erasers
Staples, tape, paper clips, masking tape and clear packaging tape
Colored pens and permeant markers/
Index cards
Decent quality construction paper
Pencil cap erasers
Loose leaf paper
Rubber playground balls
Tissues
Rubber cement
Gallon zippered storage bags
