
School Board members with Cub Pack 138 on Jan. 9.
The donation capped a month long drive the local Cub Scouts hosted to help alleviate stress of school supplies.
For their efforts the School Board gave each scout a Fluvanna County Public Schools lapel pin.
The pack collected many items but a list of items most in need were:
- Copy paper
- Glue sticks
- Pencils and pens
- repositionable notes (brands like Sticky Notes or Post-It) – all sizes up to large tablet
- Dry erase markers/erasers
- Staples, tape, paper clips, masking tape and clear packaging tape
- Colored pens and permeant markers/
- Index cards
- Decent quality construction paper
- Pencil cap erasers
- Loose leaf paper
- Rubber playground balls
- Tissues
- Rubber cement
- Gallon zippered storage bags
The pack had the assistance of local business that help collect the items. Locations that helped were:
