Burchardt is being held at the Albemarle County Regional Jail without bond. Burchardt is suspected of several burglaries in the central Virginia region and additional charges are pending in both Fluvanna and other jurisdictions.

Fluvanna investigators are working with other area law enforcement agencies to help track the property to offenses that occurred in other jurisdictions. Due to the large amount of property recovered, this is expected to take several weeks. Once the property has been accounted for, the information will be forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agency and that agency will contact the victim.

Due to the vast of amount property and the time required, the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office asks that non-Fluvanna residents contact their local law enforcement agency directly.
